George Talbot IV

This is an interview my colleague Sean and I conducted with George Talbot IV. He is the former Senate photographer.

George Talbot is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but a humble human being. This is a conversation with him about his career, his challenges as a Black professional and the importance of social justice photography. He uses his vast expertise and incite to pave the way for young creative professionals in the DMV area. He has been an active photographer in the industry for decades, and his expansive knowledge clearly shines through when talking to him about photography.

George is the first and only Black Senate photographer and he is currently the Vice President of an all Black photography collective (in Washington DC) called The Exposure Group. This interview captures his big personality, his genuine kindness, and creative mind.
